Bjørn Wiinblad seasonal figure Autumn blue/white hand-decorated

Bjørn Wiinblad's seasonal figure Autumn in blue and white unites fantasy, storytelling and decorative strength in one and the same expression. The figure shows a slender female figure with the characteristic Wiinblad face, a wide-brimmed headpiece and a distinctive, curved decoration around the hat, which gives the figure an almost fairy-tale silhouette. In her hand she carries a basket, and the whole composition has a calm, poetic atmosphere that suits beautifully the more sensual and atmospheric universe of autumn.

The hand-decorated surface in blue/white emphasizes the figure's graphic character. The painted lines, patterns and ornaments wind across dress, hat and base and give the figure the richly detailed expression that many collectors associate with Bjørn Wiinblad's works. There is both something strict and something playful at the same time here, and it is precisely that balance that makes the figure an eye-catcher in the interior.

The Autumn figure is part of a series of four seasonal figures from Bjørn Wiinblad's Workshop. It works well on its own as an art figure, but also gains extra character together with the other seasons if you wish to collect the series. It looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet, on a sideboard or as part of a personal arrangement with other Danish design and decorative arts. For collectors of Bjørn Wiinblad it is an obvious choice, and as a gift idea it is also well suited to the person who appreciates Danish ceramic figure design with history and personality.

Older design objects like this one have a special ability to add soul to the home. When you choose a figure with history, you are at the same time choosing a piece of craftsmanship that was created to be appreciated for many years to come. It is a beautiful way to decorate more personally and more consciously.
