Royal Copenhagen budgerigar figurine no. 4682 Jeanne Grut

Royal Copenhagen budgerigar figurine no. 4682 by Jeanne Grut is a classic bird figurine in porcelain with a calm and natural expression. The white budgerigar sits upright on a dark blue fruit, and the contrast between the light bird and the deep blue base gives the figurine a striking, yet still subdued appearance. The soft transitions in the glaze and the precise modelling of feathers, beak and claws make the motif lively without seeming overdone.

Jeanne Grut is known for her lifelike animal figurines, and here in particular one senses her sure eye for the bird's posture and character. The budgerigar is depicted in a quiet pose with fine dark markings by the head, a light beak and a long tail, which emphasize the figurine's slender shape. The dark blue fruit functions as a simple base and at the same time elevates the motif, so the figurine gains both depth and decorative weight. It is a porcelain figurine that fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection with other bird figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add personality and history to the home. They are created to last, and that makes them a sustainable choice for those who want to decorate with quality and give fine craftsmanship new life. For collectors, Royal Copenhagen, Jeanne Grut and item number 4682 are important keywords, while the figurine also has broad appeal to those who love Danish design, bird motifs and porcelain with soul. It is ideal as a gift for a bird lover, a collector, or for yourself if you appreciate classic animal figurines with calm and presence.
