Royal Copenhagen Golden Retriever figurine no. 5136, Jeanne Grut

Royal Copenhagen Golden Retriever figurine no. 5136 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression that speaks directly to dog lovers and collectors of classic Danish design. The figurine depicts a seated Golden Retriever with softly modelled fur, long ears, and an attentive gaze, which gives the motif both warmth and personality.

Jeanne Grut has designed the figurine with a sense of the breed's friendly nature and characteristic coat. The golden and light shades emphasize the dog's soft forms, while the underglaze decoration gives the surface depth and a beautiful sheen. It is a dog figurine that works well both as a collector's item and as a personal detail in the home, where it adds atmosphere on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a desk.

Royal Copenhagen figurines are known for their solid craftsmanship and confident design, and this Golden Retriever is a good example of exactly that. The distinct fur structures around the chest, legs, and tail bring the figurine to life, and the seated posture makes the expression calm, faithful, and present. For many, it will also be an obvious gift idea for a dog owner or for someone who is fond of porcelain figurines with animal motifs.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they unite quality, history, and lasting decorative value. It is the type of object one feels like keeping and using for many years, and which can easily find a place in a modern home together with both classic and newer interior design.
