Bjørn Wiinblad hand-decorated blue/white salt and pepper bird

This hand-decorated salt and pepper bird from Bjørn Wiinblad combines decorative art and imagination in one small design object. The blue and white decoration gives the figure a classic and poetic expression, while the characteristic bird shape adds personality and warmth to the table setting. It is exactly the kind of Wiinblad design many look for when they want to find original decorative art with both function and narrative.

The figure is shaped like a stylized bird with soft, organic forms and the familiar swirling ornaments that characterize Bjørn Wiinblad's visual language. In the picture it is seen in blue/white decoration, where the pattern winds over the bird's head, body and foot. The small spoon emphasizes that this is not only a decorative figure, but also a functional salt and pepper set that can be left out on the dining table or in the kitchen as part of the decor.

Bjørn Wiinblad is known for his imaginative and strongly personal designs, and this salt and pepper bird is a fine example of how his universe also lives in the smaller utility items. It fits beautifully into a collection of Wiinblad figures and other Danish design ceramics, but can also stand alone as a charming feature in the home. It is ideal for those who are fond of hand-decorated design, or as a gift for a collector and Wiinblad enthusiast.

Older and characterful decorative art like this has a special ability to create warmth and individuality in the home. When you choose design with history and craftsmanship quality, you simultaneously choose a more sustainable way to decorate your home. A figure like this can be used and enjoyed in everyday life, while at the same time carrying the story of Danish design tradition forward.
