Bjørn Wiinblad Dyveke figure 5 parts hand-decorated no. 31

Bjørn Wiinblad Dyveke no. 31 is a distinctive figure in 5 parts, where fantasy, ornamentation and storytelling merge in a design language entirely its own. The figure rises like a decorative column with face, patterned sections and soft, rounded shapes stacked in height, so that the expression appears both theatrical, poetic and sculptural. It is a Wiinblad figure that immediately attracts attention and creates character in the interior.

The Dyveke model carries many of the traits that collectors and design lovers associate with Bjørn Wiinblad: the stylised depiction of people, the rich decoration and the imaginative balance between art object and decorative art. On the figure can be seen a woman's face with decorative details, a plate-like disc and a tall structure of spherical joints, which gives the figure an almost fairytale-like and ceremonial expression. The hand-decorated execution emphasises the work's lively character and makes the model interesting for both Wiinblad collectors and those seeking a figure with strong personality.

According to the available product information, this model is available in blue/white or multi colour. Regardless of the colour variant, it is a decorative figure that is well suited as a solitary piece on a chest of drawers, in a bookcase or as part of a larger collection of Bjørn Wiinblad's figures and art ceramics. The tall, built-up form provides a fine contrast to both a classic and a more colourful home interior.

Older design with history adds something to the home that new production can rarely imitate. A figure like Dyveke no. 31 contains both artistic distinctiveness and the joy of letting thoroughly worked-through design live on. That makes it an obvious choice for collectors, for the design-interested and as a gift for someone who is fond of Danish arts and crafts with soul and storytelling.
