Royal Copenhagen whistle bird no. 403-2989 in blue faience

Royal Copenhagen whistle bird no. 403-2989 is a decorative bird figurine in faience with an expression that immediately draws attention. The compact shape, the round breast and the small whistle opening in the tail give the figure both character and charm. The clear blue shades against the white base create a classic Danish play of colors that fits beautifully into both modern and more traditional interiors.

The bird is designed with a simple, stylized silhouette and fine hand-painted details. In the pictures, a deep blue glaze can be seen over the back and head, white lines around the neck and wings as well as light areas on the sides, which give the motif life and variation. The small size and the calm shape make it suitable as decoration on a shelf, in a bookcase, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of bird figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

As a vintage faience figurine, this whistle bird has precisely the special personality many seek in older Danish design and decorative arts. It is the type of object that adds history and soul to the home, while still functioning as a decorative object in everyday life. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen, bird figurines and Danish faience, the model number is important, and no. 403-2989 makes the figure easy to identify.

The whistle bird is also an obvious gift idea for someone who loves porcelain and ceramics with a story, or who appreciates smaller figurines with a personal expression. It does not take up much space, but adds color, nostalgia and a fine touch of Danish design tradition.
