About the item
The Royal Copenhagen Hafnia "Koebenhavner" table lamp is a distinctive piece of Danish design history. It was created in collaboration with Fog & Moerup to mark Copenhagen's 800th anniversary in 1967.
The porcelain base is decorated with a detailed view of Copenhagen and the inscription "Hafnia Metropolis Celeberrima", meaning "Copenhagen, the most celebrated metropolis".
The reverse features the official seal of Copenhagen together with the years 1167 and 1967, marking the foundation of the city and its anniversary year.
The historical decoration and classic Royal Copenhagen porcelain give the lamp a distinctive appearance that complements both modern and traditional interiors.
This table lamp is an excellent choice for collectors and anyone with an interest in Danish design, Copenhagen and decorative objects with a fascinating history.
The lampshade is not included and must be purchased separately. See our suggestions for suitable lampshades further down the page.
