Holmegaard Christmas bottle 2017, designed by Jette Frölich.
The inspiration to this years Christmas Bottle from Holmegaard was found in the Russian fairytale about King Frost and Miss Spring. King Frost comes with cold and snow, but he also brings Christmas gifts to all children in town. Miss Spring comes with mild winds and spring flowers. Both represent something that we all enjoy when the seasons change. On one side of the Christmas Bottle 2017 you will see King Frost on his way through the forest with snow-covered Christmas trees and ice crystals on the willow branches. Small red birds are flying around searching for food. On the other side of the Holmegaard Christmas Bottle you will see Miss Spring in a beautiful red dress and red flowers in her hair. She carry a gold basket with snowdrops. Even though the snow is still covering the ground and the branches of the trees, we can sense that spring is coming because of the snowdrops. On one of the narrow sides of the 2017 Holmegaard Christmas Bottle you will see a snowcovered tree with small red birds and on the other side you will see a tall willow tree with frosty branches, a small Christmas tree with a bird in top and small snowflakes and ice crystals are dancing in the air. On this side you will also find the date marking which allow you a dram each day before Christmas.
