About the item

The glug-bottle is a Holmegaard iconic and it has been in production several times. In 2015 Holmegaard was celebrating its 190 years anniversary and in connection to that this beautiful smoke-brown glug-bottle was issued in a limited edition of 1825 pieces. The year 1825 was the year Holmegaard was established. The glug-bottle 2015 has only got 3 columns instead of the classic 4 columns. The 3 columns gives the bottle a beautiful, symmetrical centre and add a light effect. When you are pouring from the bottle the air resistance makes the glug-sounds, while the liquid is trying to pass the narrow columns. The glug bottle is especially popular to different kind of liquor and the brown colour fits perfectly to the amber coloured liquor types as whisky and cognac Each bottle is unique and contains approximately 50 centiliter.
