Royal Copenhagen candlesticks with Santa father and Santa mother no. 336 and 337

This set of candlesticks from Royal Copenhagen brings together the warmth and story of Christmas in two charming elf figures: Santa father and Santa mother. The small porcelain figures stand behind their own candlestick and create a cosy motif where Christmas candlelight and classic Danish elf atmosphere merge into a higher unity. It is a Christmas decoration that functions both as candlesticks and as part of the traditional Christmas decorations.

Santa mother is designed with light hair, a red bonnet and a gentle facial expression, while Santa father stands with a long white beard, red Santa hat and striped sleeves. Both candlesticks are decorated with red hearts on the round candlestick rim, which emphasises the warm and homely expression. The colours are classic and recognisable in red, white and soft shades, which fit beautifully into both nostalgic Christmas decorations and more simple Nordic Christmas décor.

As Royal Copenhagen elf figures, they have a special appeal to collectors of Christmas figures in porcelain, but they also work well as an atmospheric set on the Christmas table, in the window sill or on a shelf together with other classic Christmas decorations. When they stand together, they create a small elf setting with personality and history, and they can easily be combined with other elves, angels or Christmas decorations in porcelain.

Designer Svend Vestergaard is behind the motif, and the fine underglaze gives the figures the calm, carefully crafted expression that many appreciate in older Royal Copenhagen Christmas figures. A set like this not only brings light into December, but also the joy of preserving good craftsmanship and letting porcelain with history become a living part of the home's Christmas year after year.
