The Bing & Grondahl Christmas plaquettes are known as Christmas plaquettes and mini Christmas plates. The motifs of the B&G Christmas plaquettes shows happy children in the forest, dancing around their Christmas tree, musical children with different instruments in the process of singing Christmas carols on a snowy town square, Christmas Eve in the stable where the animals, according to ancient belief, speak on Christmas Eve, and Santa with a tense crowd of children around him and on his way with Christmas gifts.
Bing & Grondahl Christmas mini plates
In 1999 Bing & Grondahl introduced this series of Christmas plaquettes of 8 cm in diameter. The motif of the B&G Christmas plaquettes every year depicts an atmospheric motif of Christmas joy and together with the large B&G Christmas plate, you have a beautiful set, however the plaquettes are also beautiful on their own. With the Christmas plaquettes from Bing & Grondahl you can create your own "image" on the wall with all 9 plaquettes. You can also hang them on the Christmas tree, on a spruce branch or display them in small plate racks.
In recent years the Bing and Grondahl Christmas plate series has been designed by Jørgen Nielsen and of course he was also the artist behind the Christmas plaquettes.
Royal Copenhagen launched their series of Christmas plaquettes in 1984, this series continues to be supplemented with a new plaquette every year. Bing & Grondahl waited all the way to 1999 to launch their Christmas plaquettes and the series ended in 2007.
