Royal Copenhagen mini plates are popular collectibles and gift wishes. Danes living abroad or later generations who have parents or grandparents who came from Denmark, has especially taken these small plaquettes into their hearts, as they give a special insight into the Danish culture.
Royal Copenhagen mini Christmas plates
In 1984 Royal Copenhagen launched their series of Christmas plaquettes and subsequently there has been released a new plaquette every year, which is still issued in connection with the ordinary Christmas plate. All motifs depicts famous landmarks from Denmark. Thus depicted among other the Stock Exchange, Amalienborg Palace, Hans Christian Andersen, Vallø Castle, Dybbol Mill, The Old Town in Aarhus and Roskilde Cathedral.
Also Bing and Grodahl has released a series of Christmas plaquettes in a short period from 1999 to 2007.
