Royal Copenhagen Tranquebar tableware
Tranquebar was initially an Alumina faience tableware, but when Alumina and Royal Copenhagen merged, the tableware was manufactured with the Royal Copenhagen mark. Tranquebar tableware was designed by Christian Joachim, who was artistic director of Alumina. The first parts of Tranquebar tableware was published in 1914 and the tableware has been extremely popular.
Royal Copenhagen porcelain Tranquebar is dinnerware as well as coffee service - and it is one of the tablewares, which consists of most parts: mocca cup, coffee cup, tea cup, breakfast cup, cake plate, lunch plate, dinner plate, soup plate, serving bowl, coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, milk jug, cake stand, candy bowl, salad bowl, sauce boat, bonbonnieres, oval dish, round dish, covered dish, tureen, pickle dish, candle holder, salt shaker and pepper shaker.
