Polished Danish Natural Stone
For regular taper candles - The hole in the candlestick is 20 mm.
This candlestick is entirely Danish-made. No two candlesticks are the same.
The size and shape of the stone may vary, but usually, they are about 7-12 cm in diameter and weigh approximately 1/2 to 1 kilogram.
This product falls partly outside DPH Trading's other range of products, but due to Jørgen Risager's (the owner of DPH) fascination with polished stones, this unique production of candle holders started.
The stones are carefully selected from the Danish nature. Only a very small portion is suitable for this purpose. The stones must first and foremost have the right shape and appearance, and then they must be suitable for grinding and polishing.
Once the right stones are found, they are polished in large specially made tumblers. This process takes about 45 days, after which the stones need to be polished. This is done in other and smaller tumblers.
When the stone has achieved the perfect shine and radiance, a hole is drilled in the stone so that it can be used as a candlestick for taper candles.
