Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2018 Peace Dove Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2018 Peace Dove is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that brings together the calm, hope, and tradition of Christmas in one motif. The white dove stands with a green olive branch in its beak, and the broad, fan-shaped tail gives the figurine a distinctive and calm expression. It is a figurine that speaks directly into the Nordic Christmas story and fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors.

The motif is designed by Allan Therkelsen and executed in underglaze, which emphasizes the soft color effect and the fine details in the plumage. The light glaze, the discreet nuances, and the peaceful posture make the figurine suitable as a Christmas figurine, collector's figurine, and decorative porcelain figurine all year round. The Peace Dove is a motif with strong symbolism, and that is precisely why it also works well as a gift for someone you care about.

This Royal Copenhagen annual figurine is also closely linked to the year's other Christmas releases. The figurine is taken from the motif on the same year's Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, where the dove is included as a central part of the story. This makes it especially interesting for collectors who wish to connect the annual figurine and the Christmas plate, but it also stands strongly on its own as an independent figurine with its own expression.

As part of Royal Copenhagen's annual figurines, Peace Dove 2018 also has a natural place in an existing collection. It can complement other annual figurines from the series, be a missing figurine in the collection, or create a fine connection with the Christmas plate, Christmas cup, Christmas drop, and Christmas bell from the same year. On a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a Christmas arrangement, it adds a calm and tradition-rich atmosphere to the home.
