Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2024 Dog - Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen annual figurine 2024 Dog captures the warm, faithful atmosphere that many associate with Christmas, home, and close relationships. The small dog is modelled sitting with its head raised, softly drooping ears, and an attentive, devoted expression that gives the figurine life and personality. The light shades and the fine details in the face and fur emphasise the calm and friendly expression that makes the figurine easy to love at first sight.

This annual figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and executed in underglaze for Royal Copenhagen. The figurine is also closely linked to the year's Christmas story, because the dog is taken from the motif on Royal Copenhagen's Christmas plate from the same year. Here it is seen together with the little boy, and precisely that connection makes the figurine especially interesting for collectors who wish to collect the year's motif across plate and figurine.

As part of Royal Copenhagen Annual Figurines, this dog has both character as an independent porcelain figurine and value as part of a named series. It can stand alone as an atmospheric dog figurine in the interior, but it is also ideal as a supplement to an existing collection or as the missing figurine for collectors of annual figurines from Royal Copenhagen. Place it on a shelf, a desk, or together with the year's Christmas plate to create a lovely whole with a clear reference to the 2024 release.

The motif also appeals to dog lovers and to anyone who is fond of figurines with a warm and present expression. As a gift idea, it is ideal for collectors, for fans of Royal Copenhagen, or for someone who would like to mark the year with a small piece of Danish porcelain art that can be brought out again year after year.
