Royal Copenhagen Pontus figure no. 003 Carl Larsson boy with Swedish flag

Pontus figure no. 003 from Royal Copenhagen is an atmospheric porcelain figure with a motif of a standing boy carrying a Swedish flag over his shoulder. The figure is created after Carl Larsson's universe and conveys the special blend of childhood, national romanticism and narrative everyday moments for which his motifs are known. Here one encounters a boy in green attire, a tall hat with red-white details and an upright, lively posture next to a light suitcase or box, which emphasizes the story in the motif.

The blue and yellow Swedish flag gives the figure a striking and recognizable expression, while the face and posture add personality and movement. It is precisely the combination of the figure's fine story, the clear colors and the classic porcelain that makes this Royal Copenhagen figure ideal for collectors of child figures, Carl Larsson figures and Scandinavian design with historical character. The motif has both warmth and identity and fits beautifully into a collection with other porcelain figures from the same tradition.

This porcelain figure is produced in a limited number of 7500 copies, and each figure is numbered. This makes Pontus an attractive collector's item, where both the motif, artistic origin and the limited release are significant. For many, it is precisely the type of figure that adds soul and storytelling to the home, while at the same time representing a piece of Nordic porcelain history.

As an older porcelain figure, it is also a fine example of the joy of preserving quality objects that are created to last and be appreciated through generations. It can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf or in the company of other Royal Copenhagen figures, where it adds color, cultural history and a personal expression. An obvious gift idea for collectors, for those with an interest in the Swedish world of motifs and for everyone who loves classic child figures in porcelain.
