Royal Copenhagen Boy with Ball figure no. 024 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figure no. 024 depicts a little boy deeply absorbed in his ball. The motif is full of presence and everyday joy: the child sits low with his body bent forward over the round ball, as if the play has just begun. The clear blue color of the outfit and the blue-white stripes on the ball give the figure a fresh and lively expression, while the light hair color and the soft shapes emphasize the childlike and calm quality of the motif.

Allan Therkelsen has created a porcelain figure that captures something recognizable and timeless. The little boy's concentrated posture and the simple story of play make the figure easy to love. It is precisely the type of children's figure that fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes, where it can stand alone or be combined with other figures with children and family life as their motif.

This Royal Copenhagen porcelain figure is made in underglaze, which gives the blue shades depth and a calm, harmonious surface. The expression is characteristic of Danish porcelain design, where form, color and motif work closely together. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figures and for those who appreciate children's figures in porcelain, boy with ball is a fine example of a figure that contains both design history and warmth.

As a gift idea, the figure is also well suited for those who appreciate Danish design, porcelain art and motifs from the world of childhood. A porcelain figure like this adds personality and narrative to the home, and at the same time it is a beautiful choice for you who would like to preserve quality design created to be appreciated for many years.
