Royal Copenhagen sleeping baby boy figurine no. 026

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 026 depicts a sleeping baby boy, rendered in a calm and intimate posture that immediately brings to mind security, childhood, and quiet moments. The figurine lies curled up on its side with closed eyes, soft facial features, and a blue romper suit that emphasizes the peaceful expression. It is a porcelain figurine with a warm and human motif, which looks beautiful in both classic and modern homes.

The design is created by Allan Therkelsen, and the figurine has the fine naturalism and soft shaping that suit the motif so well. The light hair, the calm face, and the simple posture bring the figurine to life without seeming overdone. The blue color adds a calm, classic expression, and the glazed surface highlights the rounded forms in a way that beautifully suits Royal Copenhagen's tradition-rich porcelain.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, which contributes to the durable and well-executed expression. As a child figurine and baby figurine, it has a special appeal to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, but it is also ideal as a personal gift idea for a christening, birth, or for parents and grandparents who want a keepsake of lasting value. The motif is timeless and touching without becoming sentimental, and that is precisely why it is a figurine one wants to keep and pass down through generations.

An older porcelain figurine like this also contains the joy of choosing quality with history. Vintage porcelain and figurines with soul give the home character and are a sustainable alternative to new production. The sleeping boy can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or be included together with other child figurines from Royal Copenhagen, where it adds a gentle and atmospheric story to the collection.
