Royal Copenhagen three sleeping kittens figurine no. 304

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 304 depicts three sleeping kittens gathered in a close, calm composition, where the shapes almost flow together. The figurine has a soft and quiet expression, which makes it ideal for collectors of cat figurines and for those who are fond of classic Danish porcelain design with motifs from the animal world. The closed eyes, the small noses, and the closely nestled bodies give the figurine a warm and homely atmosphere.

The motif is finely observed and modelled with the naturalness that characterizes many of Royal Copenhagen's animal figurines. Two of the kittens appear in white glaze with delicate details at the ears and muzzle, while the third lies as a darker, striped form around them. The interplay between the light and darker areas gives the figurine depth and life, without the whole losing its calm expression. The low, rounded shape also makes the figurine easy to place on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a personal arrangement with other porcelain figurines.

The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen for Royal Copenhagen and is made in porcelain with underglaze. It is precisely the combination of the gentle motif and the well-known porcelain quality that makes this model sought after among both cat lovers and collectors of older Royal Copenhagen figurines. Here you get a figurine that contains both decorative value and the special joy that lies in preserving design created to last for many years.

A figurine like this fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. It can stand alone as a calm eye-catcher or be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain for a more personal expression. It is also an obvious gift idea for a cat friend or for the collector seeking a Royal Copenhagen cat figurine with figurine number and clear identity.
