Royal Copenhagen seated baby white figurine no. 028

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 028 depicts a seated baby in white porcelain, modelled with a calm and present expression. The child sits with the legs slightly crossed, one hand by the mouth and soft, rounded shapes that give the figurine a quiet and contemplative character. The glossy white glaze highlights the fine contours of the face, hands and feet and makes the figurine easy to place in both classic and modern homes.

It is a porcelain figurine that appeals to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, but also to those who are fond of motifs with children and family life. Allan Therkelsen has created a child figurine with a natural simplicity, where the innocent moment is allowed to take centre stage. The white colour makes the expression clean and timeless, and that is precisely why the figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal arrangement with other porcelain figurines.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special charm because they bring both craftsmanship, history and personality into the interior. Choosing a figurine with history is also a way of giving good design new life. This seated baby is ideal as a gift for a collector, for a christening or as a fine reference to childhood and close memories, without the expression becoming exaggerated.

The white Royal Copenhagen figurine can easily be combined with other child figurines, classic porcelain or Nordic home décor, where the simple shapes and the light glaze are allowed to stand out. It functions both as a discreet collector's item and as a decorative porcelain figurine with a gentle, human expression.
