Victoria 2001 Teddy Bear of the Year figurine Bing & Grøndahl

Victoria 2001 Teddy Bear of the Year from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming figurine with warm, calm details and a motif that exudes care and family life. The figurine shows the Victoria bear in the process of bathing the little teddy cub, which sits in a small freestanding bathtub. This gives the figurine a narrative expression, where everyday life, closeness and security merge into a higher unity.

The motif is finely composed with the gentle design language of the Victor and Victoria series, which many collectors are fond of. In the pictures, Victoria is seen with closed eyes and an apron, while the little bear sits in the bath with a happy expression. The colors are light and friendly with blue details on the tub and small star details on the apron, which emphasizes the figurine's gentle and homely atmosphere.

The figurine was created by Sheilah Beckett and belongs to the popular Victor and Victoria series from Bing & Grøndahl. This particular series is known for its small stories from the bears' family life, and therefore it appeals both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and to those seeking a decorative porcelain figurine with personality. Victoria 2001 Teddy Bear of the Year works beautifully on its own, but is also ideal as part of an existing collection or as the figurine that is missing to expand the Victor and Victoria series.

As an older figurine, it also carries the special value that lies in choosing design with history. Figurines like this are created to be kept, collected and displayed year after year, and they add a personal charm to the home that new production can rarely replicate. It fits nicely in the display cabinet, on a shelf in the living room, or as a gift for a collector of B&G figurines, teddy bears or classic Danish design with a story.
