Bing & Grøndahl Victor 2002 Teddy Bear of the Year figurine

Victor 2002 Teddy Bear of the Year from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming porcelain figurine with lots of personality. The figurine depicts a teddy bear with a camera in its hands, a blue-striped cap and blue vest, standing on a green base that brings grass to mind. The motif gives the figurine a playful and narrative expression, making it ideal for both collectors and others who appreciate classic B&G figurines with a warm and human touch.

This Victor figurine is part of the popular Victor and Victoria series, which is loved for its small bear figurines, each with their own role, clothing and expression. Here Victor is portrayed as a little photographer, and the camera in particular makes the motif extra full of character. It is a figurine that both works beautifully on its own and at the same time fits naturally into a collection of Victor and Victoria from Bing & Grøndahl.

The design was created by Sheilah Beckett, and the figurine bears her sense of narrative details and friendly shapes. The soft modelling, the calm colours and the fine underglaze decoration give the figurine a classic expression that suits both display cabinet, bookshelf and collector's shelf. For collectors, Victor 2002 can be a sought-after annual figurine, and for others it is a decorative porcelain figurine with a motif that speaks to an interest in photography, nostalgia and Danish figurine design.

Older figurines like this have a special value because they are created to be preserved and enjoyed for many years. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful way to bring more personality into the home while at the same time giving fine craftsmanship new life. Victor 2002 can be an obvious gift idea for the collector, for the photography enthusiast or for you who would like to expand a Bing & Grøndahl collection with a figurine from the Victor and Victoria series.
