Bing & Grøndahl Victor 2004 Teddy Bear of the Year figurine

Victor 2004 Teddy Bear of the Year from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming porcelain figurine with a warm and narrative expression. The figurine shows a large teddy bear together with a smaller teddy, standing in front with its arms spread wide. The small bear is wearing a light sweater with the number "3" and a party hat, while the large figure is dressed in a white shirt, blue tie and blue trousers. Together they create a motif that brings to mind birthdays, family and the small moments that become fond memories.

The design was created by Sheilah Beckett, who is known for her figurines with personality and storytelling. Here this is clearly expressed in the soft shapes, the friendly faces and the calm arrangement on the round base. The figurine belongs to the Victor and Victoria series from Bing & Grøndahl, and that makes it extra interesting for collectors who wish to expand or complete a collection with figurines from this particular series.

As a collectible figurine, it works well on its own, where it adds a touch of nostalgia and classic Danish figurine tradition to the home. At the same time, it is an obvious gift idea for a teddy bear lover, a collector of Bing & Grøndahl figurines or for someone who is fond of porcelain figurines with a motif that tells a little story. The light colour scheme with blue and beige shades also makes the figurine easy to place in a display cabinet, bookcase or on a shelf together with other figurines and decorative art objects.

Older figurines like this have a special quality to them. They are created to be kept, used and appreciated for many years, and that is precisely why they are also a fine choice for you who appreciate original craftsmanship and the joy of giving classic design new life in a modern home.
