Bing & Grøndahl Victor 1998 Teddy Bear of the Year figure

Victor 1998 Teddy Bear of the Year from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming porcelain figurine with a festive and polite expression. The figurine shows the bear Victor in a moment full of movement and personality, where he lifts his white hat into the air and stands with a cane in his hand. The dark blue coat and the light waistcoat give the figurine a classic, well-dressed expression, which fits beautifully into the story for which the series is known.

The design is created by Sheilah Beckett, whose figures often contain both warmth, storytelling and recognisable small details. Here, Victor is presented with a gentle smile, upright posture and an expression that brings to mind celebration, politeness and old-fashioned manners. The light bear fur, the white base and the blue shades create a fine contrast, which makes the figurine decorative both on its own and together with other figures.

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine belongs to the Victor and Victoria series, which is popular among collectors of B&G figurines and teddy bears with character. Therefore, Victor is also an obvious choice if you wish to supplement an existing collection or are looking for a specific figurine from the series. At the same time, it works really well as a standalone porcelain figurine on the shelf, in the display cabinet or on a ledge, where it adds a touch of nostalgia and storytelling spirit to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special value because they are created to be kept, collected and appreciated through many years. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful way to give classic design new life in a modern home. Victor 1998 is also a fine gift idea for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, porcelain figurines or figures with a teddy bear motif.
