Bing & Grøndahl Freddie figure 2002 - Freddie and his friends

Freddie from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming porcelain figure that immediately brings life to the collection. In this edition from 2002, we meet the little bear wearing aviator goggles, a brown jacket with white fur trim, blue trousers and white boots. The raised paw and the calm expression give the figure personality and a story of adventurousness, play and imagination.

The figure is part of the series Freddie and his friends, which is created by Sven Vestergaard. The series has its very own atmosphere, where the small bear figures appear warm, recognizable and full of character. Precisely for that reason, Freddie is popular both among collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figures and with those who want a decorative porcelain figure with a friendly and lively expression.

The glossy underglaze emphasizes the fine details in the fur, the aviator goggles and the jacket's distinctive edges. The color combination in brown, white and blue shades makes the figure easy to place in the interior, where it can stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of Freddie and his friends. For the collector, it is ideal as a figure that can complement or expand the series, while it also works beautifully as a standalone decoration.

Older design figures in porcelain have a special ability to bring soul and history into the home. When you choose a figure like this, you get not just a decorative object, but also a piece of Danish design tradition that is created to last and to be appreciated for many years. This also makes it a fine gift idea for collectors or for anyone who loves classic Bing & Grøndahl figures.
