Royal Copenhagen sleeping white cat figurine 057 or 149 Erik Nielsen

This sleeping white cat from Royal Copenhagen is a porcelain figurine with a calm and present expression that immediately creates atmosphere in the room. The cat lies curled up with its tail close around the body, while the head rests softly down against the paws. The simple lines and the smooth, white form give the figurine a stylish and harmonious expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors.

It is precisely the balance between naturalism and simplification that makes this cat figurine so charming. The closed eyes are finely marked, and the delicate details at the ears and muzzle add life without taking focus away from the figurine's calm overall impression. The glossy surface highlights the soft shapes of the porcelain and emphasizes the quiet elegance for which Royal Copenhagen is known.

The figurine is designed by Erik Nielsen and made in porcelain with underglaze. As a cat figurine, it is ideal for those who are fond of animals, Danish design, and porcelain figurines with personality. It works well on its own on a shelf, in a bookcase, or on a small table, but it can also be combined with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen for a more cohesive expression.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add soul and history to the home. Here you get a decorative collector's item that is still easy to use in interior decoration today. For many, vintage porcelain in particular is a meaningful way to choose quality and fine craftsmanship that is created to last and to be appreciated for many years to come.
