Bing & Grøndahl white cat figure no. 2453 or 499 porcelain figurine

This Bing & Grøndahl porcelain figurine depicts a white cat in a calm, downward-facing posture, where the soft design language and the glossy glaze give the figure a fine interplay between light, shadow, and movement. The cat sits gathered and upright with its tail curved forward along the body, and the expression is quiet and contemplative. It is exactly the kind of animal figure that Bing & Grøndahl is loved for among collectors of Danish porcelain and classic cat figurines.

In the pictures, a predominantly white porcelain figurine can be seen with discreet accents at the ears, face, paws, and tail. The delicate nuances bring the figure to life without drawing attention away from the simple form. This makes it suitable both as a decorative porcelain cat in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection with other animal figurines from Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen.

An older porcelain figurine like this also has a special charm because it carries Danish design history and fine craftsmanship forward into modern homes. It can stand alone as a calm eye-catcher or be combined with other white porcelain figurines, where it adds personality and a classic Nordic expression. For cat lovers and collectors, it is a figurine with both character and lasting appeal.

The current registration states figure no. 2453 or 499. Both numbers have therefore been retained here, so the item is easier to find for both collectors and customers looking for precisely this Bing & Grøndahl cat.
