Bing & Grøndahl girl with drinking cat figurine no. 1745 or 421

This porcelain figurine of a girl with a drinking cat captures a quiet and everyday moment with great warmth. The girl is bent down over the cat, which is drinking from a small bowl, and the motif has the calm familiarity between child and animal that makes classic children's figurines from Bing & Grøndahl so sought after. The deep blue dress against the white porcelain gives the figurine a striking and recognizable expression, while the pose creates life and movement in the composition.

The figurine is designed by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for her sensitive and lifelike porcelain figurines. Here it is not the solemn, but the simple moment in the home, that is at the center: a girl who attentively follows the cat at the bowl. This makes the figurine a charming collector's item for you who appreciate children's figurines, cat figurines and classic Danish porcelain with a story.

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1745 or 421 is made in porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the smooth surface and the clear blue and white colors. The soft shapes in the girl's hair, the folds of the dress and the cat's stretched body show the confident modeling that makes older porcelain figurines relevant even today. It is a figurine that fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of B&G figurines and other animal and children's motifs.

Older porcelain figurines like this bring both history and personality into the interior. They are created to last, to be collected and enjoyed for many years, and that is precisely why they are also a sustainable choice for you who want beautiful craftsmanship with soul. The figurine is also an obvious gift idea for collectors or for anyone who appreciates cats, classic porcelain and Danish design history.
