Bing & Grøndahl Kaj standing boy figure no. 1617

Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 1617 depicts Kaj, a standing boy rendered with the calm and lively expression that makes the classic children's figures from B&G so sought-after. The figure shows a little boy in a blue romper with short sleeves and legs, gray shoes and brown hair, standing with an upright posture and his hands down by his sides. The simple motif gives the figure a fine sense of calm and presence, which fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes.

Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger is known for her children's figures with character and humanity, and this is clearly felt here. Kaj has a thoughtful facial expression and a natural posture, which gives the porcelain figure personality without appearing posed. The glossy underglaze emphasizes the soft shapes and the muted colors in a way that suits the motif really well.

As a porcelain figure, this model is ideal for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figures, Irminger works and classic Danish children's figures. At the same time, it is a decorative choice for a shelf, display cabinet, chest of drawers or children's room, where it adds warmth, nostalgia and a touch of Danish design history to the interior. The figure can also be combined with other B&G children's figures for a personal and harmonious expression.

A figure like Kaj is also an obvious gift idea for anyone who loves porcelain, collector's figures and Danish applied art with soul. It is exactly the type of object that brings joy for many years, and which often gets a special place in the home, because the motif is so recognizable and human.
