Bing & Grondahl's Christmas plate from 1909 is called happyness over the yule tree and shows a little boy sitting in front of the lit Christmas tree. In Denmark Christmas Eve sets out with the Christmas dinner, most often duck or goose, followed by Ris a la Mande, which is rice pudding added cream and chopped almonds. In the ris a la mande is an almond, which is whole, and the finder can exchange this almond for the almond-present.
