This 1980 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the first Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate in 1895. The motif of this 1980 Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee plate is the same as the motif of the 1909 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate. The title of this plate is Happiness over the Christmas Tree. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate was designed by Aarestrup. The Bing & Grondahl Christmas Jubilee Plates were started in 1915 and are still being continued with a new Jubilee plate every fifth year which is manufactured in underglaze.
