Bing & Grøndahl girl with dog and cat figurine no. 2333

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2333 shows a girl sitting on the floor with her two animals close around her. The motif is warm and everyday: the girl in a blue top, light skirt and dark shoes has both a small dog and a cat by her side, and the entire arrangement radiates calm, trust and the child's natural familiarity with animals. It is precisely the kind of child figurine that appeals to collectors of classic Danish porcelain and to those who are fond of figurines with story and presence.

The figurine is designed by Vita Birgitte Thymann for Bing & Grøndahl and appears with the soft shapes and fine modelling that characterize many porcelain figurines from the Danish tradition. The smooth glaze and muted colours support the motif's gentle expression, while the dog's and the cat's different postures bring life and movement to the composition. As a porcelain figurine in underglaze, it has both depth in the colours and a beautiful, durable surface.

This Bing & Grøndahl child figurine fits well into a collection of figurines with children, animals and family life, but it can also stand alone on the windowsill, on a shelf or in the display cabinet. The motif with girl, dog and cat makes it ideal for collectors of animal figurines, child figurines and Danish design porcelain. It is also an obvious gift idea for an animal lover, for the porcelain enthusiast or for someone who appreciates older craftsmanship with soul.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add personality to the home. When you choose classic decorative art and collectibles with history, you simultaneously choose a more sustainable alternative to new production and give beautiful craftsmanship new life in a modern interior.
