Bing & Grøndahl Garden Girl figurine no. 2356 Vita Thymann

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2356, known as Garden Girl, captures a tranquil moment from garden life. The figurine shows a kneeling girl, absorbed in her work on the ground, with her hands gathered around small tools and gardening close by the lawn patch. The motif has a quiet story of care, presence, and the joy of the simple tasks in the garden.

The clear blue dress stands beautifully against the figurine's light skin tones and the soft, greenish nuanced base, which gives associations to grass and soil. The slightly forward-bent posture and the concentrated expression give the porcelain figurine life and movement. It is precisely the type of child figurine for which Bing & Grøndahl is so highly valued among collectors of Danish porcelain and classical figurines.

Garden Girl is designed by Vita Thymann and made in porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the figurine's fine surface and durable decoration. The combination of artistic sensitivity and solid porcelain tradition makes the figurine ideal both as a collector's item and as decorative applied art in the home. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection of B&G child figurines and figurines with everyday scenes.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they bring history, craftsmanship, and personality into the interior decor. Choosing a vintage figurine in porcelain is also a fine way to give classic design new life. Garden Girl is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, garden lovers, or for someone who is fond of Danish porcelain with motifs of children and everyday life.
