Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2541 Swing ride in the garden children playing

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2541 captures a moment of childhood play and closeness. The motif shows two children on a swing ride in the garden, where the girl sits on the swing while the boy stands behind and holds the ropes. It is a porcelain figurine with a calm, narrative expression that brings to mind summer days, play in the garden, and the simple joy of being together.

The figurine is made in underglaze and has the soft, harmonious colors that suit classic B&G figurines so well. The girl's dress appears in blue shades, while the boy is dressed in light and blue tones, and the oval base has a discreet greenish play that emphasizes the sense of grass and outdoor life. The composition between the two children gives the figurine life, movement, and a natural narrative, which makes it ideal for collectors of children's figurines from Bing & Grøndahl.

As a porcelain figurine, it is both decorative and atmospheric in the home. It fits beautifully in a collection with other B&G figurines, but can also stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a ledge, where the motif is allowed to tell its own story. Figurines with children playing in particular have a timeless appeal because they unite Danish porcelain, nostalgia, and everyday motifs with warmth and personality.

Older porcelain figurines like this one also have a special charm because they are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a way of giving fine craftsmanship new life. This makes this Bing & Grøndahl children's figurine an obvious choice for both collectors and for those who want classic Danish porcelain with soul.
