Bing & Grøndahl Morning Song girl singing figurine no. 2404

Morning Song is a classic Bing & Grøndahl figurine that captures a quiet and recognizable moment: a young girl with a songbook in her hands, raised gaze, and a pose that clearly conveys song, presence, and immersion. The figurine has a calm and poetic expression, which makes it suitable both for collectors of porcelain figurines and for those who are fond of Danish figurative art with character.

The girl is modeled standing on a round base with her hair gathered in a bun and wearing a blue dress with a white trim at the neckline. The open songbook in her hands and the slightly upturned face give the figurine life and movement, as if she is standing in the middle of a morning song or practicing a familiar melody. It is precisely this narrative that makes the figurine ideal as a child figurine, girl figurine, and music figurine in a collection of older porcelain.

The figurine is designed by Claire Weiss and made in porcelain with underglaze, which supports the soft interplay of colors and the smooth, clear surface. Bing & Grøndahl is known for their figurine tradition, and Morning Song figurine no. 2404 is a fine example of the sense for everyday motifs and human moods that many collectors associate with the brand.

A porcelain figurine like this adds personality and history to the home. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet collection, on a shelf, or as part of an arrangement with other B&G figurines and child figurines. For many, older porcelain figurines are also a sustainable choice, because they are created to be preserved, appreciated, and passed on through generations.

Morning Song is also an obvious gift idea for someone who collects Bing & Grøndahl, is fond of musical motifs, or wants Danish porcelain art with a warm and lively expression.
