Bing & Grøndahl girl figurine Up to mother no. 478 or 2324

Bing & Grøndahl girl figurine "Up to mother" is a charming porcelain figurine that captures a tiny everyday moment with great warmth. The little girl sits on the floor with both arms stretched up into the air and her face turned expectantly upward, as if she wants to be lifted up. The motif is simple, recognizable, and full of presence, and precisely for that reason the figurine has a special appeal to collectors of B&G figurines and classic child figurines in porcelain.

The figurine is designed by Svend Jespersen, who is known for portraying children with a natural and lively sensitivity. Here this can be seen in the soft modeling and the fine posture, where the movement of the body tells the whole story. The blue sweater over the white dress gives the figurine the classic Bing & Grøndahl expression, while the calm shapes make it easy to place in both modern and more traditional interiors.

As a porcelain figurine in underglaze, it has the smooth surface and the clear, durable color expression that many associate with older Danish porcelain of high quality. It is also a figurine with the special soul that only classic design objects acquire over time. For you who appreciate decorative art and collectible figurines with history, this is a fine opportunity to give a beautiful piece of Danish porcelain new life. Vintage porcelain like this contributes not only atmosphere, but also personality and a more sustainable way of decorating the home.

The girl figurine fits beautifully in a collection of child figurines from Bing & Grøndahl, but can also stand alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers, or in a display cabinet, where its narrative motif is allowed to stand out. It is ideal as a gift for collectors of Danish porcelain or for someone who is fond of figurines with warmth, childhood memories, and classic Scandinavian design language.
