The Mother's Day Plate was manufactured by The Porcelain Factory Désirée Denmark, also known as Désirée Denmark or Svend Jensen of Denmark, Old Copenhagen Blue. The designer of the 1979 Sven Jensen Mother's Day plate Mads Stage has created a beautiful plate which was manufactured in underglaze. The motif is a girl who is ready to take a walk together with her "child" in the handcart. Désirée Denmark started the series of Mothers Day plates in 1970 and ended it in 1994. The motifs of all the Sven Jensen Mother's Day plates were inspired by events from the wonderful world of children.
