The title of the 1970 Desirée Mothers Day plate is Bunch of flowers for mother The Mother's Day Plate was manufactured by The Porcelain Factory Désirée Denmark, also known as Désirée Denmark or Svend Jensen of Denmark, Old Copenhagen Blue. In Denmark Mother's Days is being hold the second Sunday in May each year. It is a tradition that the children give their mother a bunch of flowers to express their affection. This first Mothers Day plate from The Porcelain Factory Desiree was designed by Maggi Baaring and was manufactured in underglaze. Désirée Denmark started the series of Mothers Day plates in 1970 and ended it in 1994. The motifs of all the Sven Jensen Mother's Day plates were inspired by events from the wonderful world of children.
