Royal Copenhagen Pegasus Torso Sculpture no. 075 black bisque H 30 cm

Royal Copenhagen Pegasus Torso Sculpture no. 075 is a striking figure with a strong, calm expression. The black bisque gives the surface a matte and soft look, which highlights the horse's muscular form and the sculptural lines of the body. The figure is shaped as a torso and stands raised above a light base, which gives it a modern and almost floating expression in the interior.

The motif unites classical mythology with contemporary design. Pegasus is associated with imagination, power and inspiration, and here the story is interpreted in a tight and simple form, where movement and strength are gathered in one sculpture. One especially notices the tense neck, the alert head and the lively tail, which give the figure character from every angle.

The sculpture is designed by Pia Langelund for Royal Copenhagen and belongs to the Torso Sculptures series. The series was launched in 2005 and is known for its stylish design language, where animal figures are given a more artistic and reduced expression. This makes this Pegasus figure interesting both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figures and for those of you who are looking for a decorative horse sculpture with a more modern touch.

As a home object, the figure fits beautifully on a shelf, a sideboard or a console table, where it can stand alone and have space around it. The dark bisque colour makes it easy to combine with both Nordic interiors, classic furniture and more graphic environments. For many, it will also be an obvious gift idea for a horse lover or for the collector who appreciates Danish design, porcelain figures and sculptures with history.
