Royal Copenhagen seal with pup figurine no. 090 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen seal with pup figurine no. 090 is an atmospheric porcelain figurine that captures the close interaction between mother and young in a calm and natural design language. Allan Therkelsen has created an animal figurine with soft lines and a fine balance between weight, warmth and movement, where the adult seal bends protectively toward the pup in front of it.

The motif has a quiet intensity that makes the figurine much more than a classic animal figurine. The flowing shapes and the glossy glaze emphasize the seals' organic bodies, while the contrast between the dark adult seal and the light pup gives the figurine life and depth. It is precisely the type of Royal Copenhagen figurine that appeals both to collectors and to you who want a piece of Danish design with a natural and timeless expression.

As a porcelain figurine in the Mother and Child animal figurines series, the model contains both narrative and decorative strength. It fits beautifully in a collection of Royal Copenhagen animal figurines, but also stands strong on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a personal gift for someone who loves porcelain art and Nordic animal motifs. The figurine is executed in underglaze, which supports the harmonious play of colors and the calm surface.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add character and history to the home. They are created with an eye for form and durability, and that is precisely why it makes sense to let classic craftsmanship live on in today's interior design. A figurine like this combines the joy of collecting, Danish design tradition and respect for beautiful quality objects that can be appreciated for many years to come.
