Royal Copenhagen ballerina figurine no. 136 three seated ballet girls

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 136 depicts three seated ballet girls in a calm and intimate moment. The motif has a quiet poetry, where the young ballerinas sit closely together with a relaxed, thoughtful expression. The figurine unites ballet, childhood and movement in a composition that exudes concentration and togetherness rather than the grand stage.

The three girls are executed with fine differences in posture and expression, which gives the porcelain figurine life and character. The blue costumes and the light ballet shoes create a classic and harmonious play of colors that suits Royal Copenhagen's soft formal language. The group appears both natural and well-balanced, and it is precisely the interplay between the three children that makes the figurine special as a motif for dance, ballet and the moments of childhood.

The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen for Royal Copenhagen and executed in porcelain with underglaze. This provides a beautiful, durable surface and emphasizes the craftsmanship quality that many collectors and design enthusiasts associate with classic Danish porcelain figurines. As a child figurine and ballerina figurine, it appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen and to those who want a figurine with a gentle, artistic expression.

This porcelain figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or in a display cabinet, where it can stand alone or be included together with other figurines in porcelain. It is also an obvious gift idea for a dance-loving recipient, for the collector or for the one who is fond of Danish design with a figurative motif. If one chooses a figurine with history and lasting quality, one also gets a piece of decorative art that can create joy for many years and bring personality into the home.
