Royal Copenhagen Doll figurine no. 141 Toys Sven Vestergaard

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 141 depicts a doll designed as a small seated porcelain figurine with a hat, light-colored bodice, and soft, hand-painted details. The motif has a calm and nostalgic expression, where the classic world of toys has been translated into porcelain in a size and shape that makes the figurine both decorative and charming to look at up close. The light shades with fine blue stripes in the dress and the warm yellow and brown details give the figurine a friendly and recognizable character.

This porcelain figurine is part of Royal Copenhagen's Toys series and is designed by Sven Vestergaard. The series speaks directly to collectors of toy figurines and miniature figurines, where classic toy motifs are given new life in porcelain. The doll in particular is a motif many will associate with childhood, play, and old toy traditions, and therefore the figurine works both as a collector's item and as a small story in the décor.

The figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze and is cast, shaped, and painted by hand according to the existing product information. This gives it a lively expression, where the face, hair, hat, and folds of the dress appear with personality and precision. As part of the Toys series, it can stand alone as a small porcelain figurine with a nostalgic atmosphere, but it is also ideal for those who already collect figurines from the series and would like to supplement or expand the collection.

A figurine like this fits nicely on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or together with other small porcelain figurines and toy motifs. It can also be an obvious gift for the collector of Royal Copenhagen figurines or for someone who appreciates Danish design with narrative and history. Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul and personality to the home, while at the same time carrying on the joy of fine craftsmanship that is created to be preserved.
