Royal Copenhagen Noah's Ark figurine no. 140 Toys Sven Vestergaard

Royal Copenhagen Noah's Ark figurine no. 140 is a charming porcelain figurine from the Toys series, created by Sven Vestergaard. The motif draws its inspiration from the well-known story of Noah's ark and is interpreted in a simple, playful and decorative design language that fits beautifully into both modern and classic interiors.

The figurine is shaped as a small ark with white sides and a red hull, topped by a green house with a dark blue roof. Around the ark, the animals are integrated into the form: an elephant in front, a giraffe stretching its neck up along the side, and a gray animal peeking out by the roof. This gives the figurine a lively and narrative expression, where you constantly discover new details. It is precisely the combination of fairy tale, animals and miniature format that makes this porcelain figurine ideal for both collectors and for those who appreciate Danish design with personality.

Noah's Ark belongs to the popular Toys collection, where toys and the world of childhood have been transformed into small porcelain figurines. The series has its own special appeal for collectors, and this model can both stand alone as a fine little motif with a story and be included together with other figurines from the same collection. It is therefore also interesting as a missing figurine in an existing collection of Royal Copenhagen Toys.

The figurine is in porcelain and executed in underglaze. According to the existing product text, the figurines in the series are cast, shaped and painted by hand, which emphasizes the artisanal character. As a vintage or previously released design figurine, it is at the same time a good example of how quality objects with history can be given new life in the home and continue to bring joy for many years to come.

Noah's Ark is an obvious gift idea for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, for the children's room, the bookshelf or as a small design figurine with an animal motif and a story. It fits nicely among other small porcelain figurines, where it adds warmth, nostalgia and a touch of play.
