Royal Copenhagen Annual Santa 2005 Santa on Rocking Horse

Annual Santa 2005 from Royal Copenhagen is a charming Christmas figure, where Santa is depicted together with a rocking horse and a teddy bear. The motif brings together several of Christmas's familiar symbols in one figure and gives a warm, narrative expression that fits beautifully into the classic Nordic Christmas tradition. The red and white colours on Santa's outfit stand beautifully together with the brown shades of the rocking horse and the blue details on the base and harness.

The figure is designed by Sven Vestergaard and executed in underglaze, which underscores Royal Copenhagen's strong tradition for porcelain with precise craftsmanship and vivid details. Fine shapes and a motif that feels both playful and atmospheric have been worked with here. Santa holds a green wreath in one hand, while the teddy bear and the rocking horse give the figure a clear touch of Christmas joy, toys, and childhood memories.

This figure belongs to the popular Annual Santa series from Royal Copenhagen, which began in 2001. Since then, a new Santa has been added to the series every year, and from 2021 onward, a Mrs. Santa has also been released for the collection. The series is very popular, and there is great demand for these Royal Copenhagen Christmas figures among both collectors and those who wish to build a personal Christmas tradition in the home. The figure can stand alone as an atmospheric Christmas decoration, but it is also ideal as part of a larger collection and as a missing figure in the line of Annual Santa.

Choosing a figure with history is also a beautiful way to bring lasting quality into the home. Collectible porcelain figures are created to be brought out year after year, and that is precisely why they provide both Christmas atmosphere, continuity, and the joy of preserving good design that lasts.
