Royal Copenhagen Annual Santa 2011 Santa Hears Wishes

Royal Copenhagen Annual Santa 2011, "Santa Hears Wishes", captures one of Christmas' most recognizable moments: the child who gets to come very close to Santa and tell him her greatest Christmas wishes. The figure shows Santa seated with a little girl on his lap, while she holds a doll in her arms. Beside them, both a teddy bear and a gift can be seen, and behind Santa a green chair is visible. It is a Christmas figure with warmth, presence, and storytelling, where the classic red, white, and green colors emphasize the traditional Christmas atmosphere.

The figure is designed by Sven Vestergaard for Royal Copenhagen and executed in underglaze. The motif is calm and lively at the same time, with a fine interplay between Santa's listening expression and the child's expectant gaze. This very type of Christmas figure has made the series highly sought after among collectors, because each edition tells its own little Christmas story and at the same time fits beautifully together with the other figures in the series.

The Annual Santa series started in 2001, and since then a new Santa has been added to the collection every year. From 2021 onwards, a Mrs. Santa has also been added, which expands the series further. This has made the series a popular collector's series with great demand for these Royal Copenhagen Christmas figures. The figure from 2011 is therefore ideal for those who want to supplement an existing collection, find a missing year, or choose a standalone Christmas figure with a classic Danish Christmas expression.

As an older figure, it also carries the special joy of choosing quality design with history and giving it new life in the home year after year. It fits beautifully in the Christmas display on the shelf, on the windowsill, or as part of a larger collection of Royal Copenhagen figures and Christmas decorations. A figure like this is also an obvious gift idea for collectors and for everyone who loves Christmas traditions and porcelain figures with storytelling.
