Royal Copenhagen Arctic fox cub figurine 446 6 cm Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine 446 depicts an arctic fox cub in a calm, present pose, where the body rests low against the surface and the head is bent slightly forward. The figurine has a lifelike expression with soft shapes and a grey-white underglaze, which gives the fur life and depth. It is a porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen and to those who are fond of Nordic animal motifs in classic Danish design.

The arctic fox cub is designed by Allan Therkelsen and belongs to the Mother and Child animal figurines series. The motif captures the quiet atmosphere that characterizes many of Royal Copenhagen's animal figurines, where form and movement are simplified without losing the connection to the animal's character. The discreet nuances and the glossy glaze emphasize the figurine's fine modelling and make it beautiful to experience both up close and from a distance.

As interior decoration, the figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. It can stand alone as a small, poetic feature in the interior or be combined with other figurines in the series to create a story with nature, maternal instinct and wildlife. It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, design enthusiasts or for someone who appreciates porcelain with history and personality.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they are created to last and to be appreciated for many years. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to bring sustainability, quality and classic Danish design into the home.
