Bing & Grøndahl Annual Angel Children 2008 Boy with trumpet figurine

The Annual Angel Children 2008, "Boy with trumpet", is a porcelain figurine with the quiet and solemn atmosphere that many associate with Christmas, music and classic Danish porcelain art. The figurine shows a little angel boy in a long, light robe with wings on his back and a golden trumpet raised to his mouth. The soft shapes and the calm posture give the motif a peaceful expression, which makes the figurine ideal as a Christmas figurine, angel figurine and collectible figurine.

The colours are kept in light, harmonious shades with white, light blue and warm golden tones, which emphasize the figurine's light and poetic expression. The face is modelled with closed eyes, so the figurine almost looks as if it is completely absorbed in the music. This brings the motif to life and makes this angel figurine particularly atmospheric on the windowsill, on a shelf or as part of a larger Christmas display with other porcelain figurines.

The figurine was created by Sven Vestergaard for Bing & Grøndahl - Royal Copenhagen and belongs to the Annual Angel Children series. It is precisely the combination of a well-known designer, a popular series and a clear, recognizable motif that makes it attractive to both collectors and those who simply want a beautiful figurine with a classic Nordic expression. The underglaze decoration contributes to the glossy, fine surface and the well-known porcelain quality that many appreciate.

Older porcelain figurines like this one also have a special value today, because they bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the home. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to give good design new life. "Boy with trumpet" is therefore both a fine choice for the collection, for the Christmas decorations or as a gift for someone who is fond of angel figurines, Bing & Grøndahl and classic Danish porcelain.
