Royal Copenhagen Pug dog figurine no. 041 - Pia Langelund

Royal Copenhagen Pug dog figurine no. 041 is a charming Royal White figurine with a calm and characterful expression. The small pug sits upright with its head raised, distinct facial features, and the compact body shape that makes the breed so easily recognizable. The white glaze gives the figurine a clean and sculptural expression, where the form is allowed to stand completely at the center.

The figurine was originally designed by Pia Langelund and belongs among the white Royal Copenhagen figurines, where classic motifs have been interpreted in a simple and modern style. Here, it is precisely the contrast between the pug's slightly chubby, lively appearance and the sleek white expression that gives the figurine its special presence. It works both as a dog figurine, a porcelain figurine, and a decorative design figurine for those who love dogs, Danish design, and Royal Copenhagen.

The small pug is easy to place in the home, where it can stand alone on a shelf, in a bookcase, or on a side table. It also pairs beautifully with other white figurines and porcelain objects, if you want a calm and cohesive expression in the interior. For dog lovers and collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, this is a model with lots of personality, and it is also an obvious gift idea for someone who has a fondness for pugs or classic animal figurines.

In 2008, Royal Copenhagen launched several of the well-known figurines in pure white, and this pug is part of that interpretation. This makes the figurine interesting for both collectors and those seeking older design in a more contemporary expression. Quality figurines with history and formal strength have a special ability to create personality in the interior, and they are at the same time a beautiful choice when one wishes to give good design a long lifespan.
