About the item
Aluminia Columbine 1952 Children's Aid Day figurine no. 2610 is a charming porcelain figurine with a distinct theatre and harlequin atmosphere. The figurine depicts Columbine as a graceful girl in a white dress, slightly turned in the body and with a lively, dancing pose. The small blue flowers on the dress, the red trim along the ruffles, the light hair and the blue shoes give the figurine a light and playful expression, which immediately brings to mind classic children's figurines and Danish figurative art from the middle of the 20th century.

Beside the figurine is an upright form decorated with flowers, and the base is painted like green vegetation, which brings the whole motif together in a small scenic setting. It is precisely that combination of childlike narrative, decorative colouring and precisely modelled form that makes this Aluminia figurine particularly interesting for collectors of Children's Aid Day figurines, older porcelain figurines and Danish faience.

According to the existing information, the figurine was designed by Herluf Jensenius and modelled by Hans Henrik Hansen. It is marked JUS Aluminia Denmark Fajance. This gives the figurine an exciting place in Danish design history, where motif, modelling and decoration come together in a higher unity. As a vintage figurine, it also has the special quality of bringing history and personality into the interior. Older figurines like this are created to be preserved, collected and enjoyed for many years, and at the same time they are a beautiful choice for you who appreciate reuse and good craftsmanship with soul.

The figurine fits beautifully in a collection of Aluminia figurines, Children's Aid Day figurines or other porcelain figurines with children and costume motifs. It also works well on its own in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as a personal gift for the collector who loves Danish porcelain, figurative art and historical collectibles.
